Look at the look on her face! What is she thinking?
My youngest daughter has some of my old dresses, but they’re mostly just for hanging in her closest, since they’re made of a particularily unsympathetic synthetic fiber. And I’m glad I’m WRITING that last sentence and not twisting my tongue reading it!

My girls have some knitted hats that were mine as a kid. Also, Sydney loves to wear a lime colored poncho that my aunt crocheted for me when I was three. It’s fabulous! I wish I could still wear it!

Now that is too cute!!! My mom gave me some dresses for my small girls that had been mine… but they looked so precious and so well synthetic (!!!) that I never had the nerve to have them wear them!!! Hope you are all having a lovely weekend!!!

Ilsa has a sweater that my Grandma knitted me. It’s really too small though–she’s really filled out this year.
I think I’ve lost all the other things. We have moved too often.

I have four brightly colored hand-knit sweaters that someone made when I was little. They are the only things that my Mom saved. My boy wore them when he was about a year old.

yes! my mom kept everything, thinking she’d need it again. But alas, I have only 4 younger brothers. My girls have both had the chance to wear some vintage 70s/ 80s garb so far…. I’m sure there’s more in her attic that will be coming out way soon.
My daughter wore a beautiful lavender dress that was made for me as a baby, and in a couple days, i’ve got a pic going up on my blog of her in a gorgeous coat and hat that were made for my husbands aunt by HER grandmother.
I love that dress! It looks really well preserved and bright! Oh how i wish that some of the amazing handmade dresses my mom made were still around! Even though I have a boy I’d love to have one just in case…. =0)

I wish…you know my daughter would have been forced to wear every one…better for her my mom didn’t save them.

OHMYGOSH, I love it!
Unfortunately, my mom did away with all of my clothes. I had a favorite Holly Hobby dress that I wish she had kept.
This post just inspired me to save some of Haddie’s dresses for her kids!

I only have tap dance costumes… my first 3… but my daughter only played with them a few times. I will save them for her daughters, I think.
