First, I present The Four Businessmen, as they referred to themselves:
We added the girls and the baby to the mix:
I said, “Look at the camera!” so many times, it lost all power, gravity, and meaning.
It was time to go to church for Easter, so the photo session had to end.
You are blessed! 🙂

absolutely adorable. I love all the different expressions.

Oh, for cute. As a children’s photographer, I can understand your frustration. The largest family I’ve ever photographed had 8 children, but the youngest was 7, so they were all fairly cooperative. 🙂

I think this is why collages were invented.

So cute. Beatrix’s hair is so long and pretty! So it Aidan’s, I just didn’t expect it on a 2 year old!

Your oldest daughter looks like a dark-haired version of my oldest daughter. I am too disconcerted by this to comment any further.
But seriously: are we cousins? I have lots of American cousins.

I cannot even get a decent shot of my two. Kudos to you for trying. I think they are all lovely in their own way! Such beautiful blessings!

What great pics! And I, too, am amazed at how long and pretty Beatrix’s hair is already! At that age, Ilsa wasn’t much beyond the whispies. Was Aiden like that? (She’s so pretty) And they all look like family. That is so fun! Do they all have dark hair and blue eyes? I only have 3, and they all have different colours of hair and eyes (brown-brown; red-blue; light brown/dark blonde-green)
What a gorgeous family you have!
I had trouble with my 4 and the worst one was 16 years old. LOL Kudos to you — I think those pictures are perfect. 🙂

Number 3 really isn’t bad. They are almost all looking at the camera & you can see all their faces. Your kids are all Adorable!!

I love it! The non-“perfect” pictures are often the best ones, I think. Beatrix in the 2nd to last photo just cracked me up. She seems like quite a character.

This cracked me up! I love the many, many different facial expressions =)

Poor Aiden; she’s trying her hardest and hoping she’s not the only one, but she is, LOL. Many kudos to her for not trying to make everyone else mind (my oldest definitely would have been doing that, and consequently never would have been looking at the camera). The boys absolutely cracked me up! And I love Beatrix’s outfit, and her purdy hairs! I’m pretty sure the baby is wearing one of Xavier’s outfits…love it…

I just read your comment about not being able to read my blog for awhile. Gosh, Gretchen, why not? I mean, can’t your 7 children just take care of themselves?!
You crack me up. 🙂
Those pictures are gorgeous. I love looking at pictures of your kiddos!
Gracious. I only have three, and I feel like it’s almost impossible. I try playing ‘peekaboo’–it seems to work for the younger gang. They always laugh, but then I inevitably get the camera crooked as soon as they’re all smiling. Thank goodness for digital cameras.
Hi, I found this entry while doing a Google search for interesting links to share with fans of big families on Facebook. I also have seven kids, and I’m an amateur photographer. In February my mom hired me to do a portrait of all of my kids together because she said she didn’t have enough room on her photo table for individual shots! 😉 Anyway, it was probably the HARDEST photo shoot I have ever done. You can see my best attempts here:
