I wish I hadn’t burned all my old journals in a fit of embarrassment and shame when I was a mature 19. They would be so funny now.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your header, too!
Happy New Year!
I love it! I remember when I was a kid I taped a sign on my bedroom window for everyone driving by to see that said My Dad is Mean. I remember dad found it really funny and didn’t even make me take the sign down. My plan did not work.
Am I still “STUPED”? Sometimes I feel “STUPED”. During the big after christmas blow out sale at target I was trying to figure in my head what 30% Off of $84.99 was… I couldn’t do it!!!! I think I need to re-take 4th grade.
I know it was really stuped of me not to keep *my* old diaries. Such glorious fodder for giggling!
You know, I never ever called my mom names because I just knew that as soon as I did, she’d get in a fatal car accident or something like always happens in books, and I’d be all like “the last thing I did was call her stuped!”
And that would have been tragic and beautiful, and I could have written lots of angst-filled novels because of it.
How I wish I’d kept a diary when I was young. I think it would have made more sense of my life. And what a wonderful tool to be reminded of how a 12 year old, or 15 year old thinks when your own child reaches that particular age. It is so hard to remember sometimes.
wow. that was rich! I once found an old cassette tape of me ranting on the UNFAIR! practices of adult oppression on KIDS who are mature enough to make decisions for their lives.
I was nine. this totally made me remember that. hahaha!
This gave me a chuckle. It’s probably a good thing I don’t have anything I wrote as a child!!

Hmmm – wonder where my diary is? It’s cute how you started writing in cursive and then switched to printing in mid-sentence.

LOL…I am SO glad that I don’t have my old diaries. There is no telling what I wrote in those things.

My kids may be writing about me in their diaries because I’ve nixed their own treehouse dreams. I, too, may be a brat.
I did let them put up a tent all summer.
But it’s not the same. There’s something about being up high, higher than adults, in a secret place in the clouds….
I should dig out mine and see what riveting revelations I was recording circa 1981.

TIP, bub and pie. Knocked it completely over. She was taking down the ornaments anyway. My method was speedier than hers.
