An art major at Yale artificially inseminated herself multiple times, then caused herself to “miscarry” the pregnancies via legal and herbal abortifacients.
She saved the blood and turned it into her senior art project.
I realize there are many views regarding abortion, but I can’t imagine anyone, even the most staunch pro-choice crusader, advocating a woman intentionally and repeatedly getting pregnant for the SOLE PURPOSE of aborting the pregnancy for a school project.
Read about it here.
How thoroughly sick!!!

Good grief.

I’m sorry, but how is deliberately becoming pregnant in order to abort your own offspring just a project to “spark conversation”? Talk about having NO VALUE for human life.
This is probably the worst, most amoral thing I’ve ever heard done in the name of art or debate. (Which I think is hooey anyway–this was ALL ABOUT the shock value.) I only hope that one day she realizes what she has done, and is deeply remorseful.
The “donors” should be ashamed of themselves too, pursing pleasure at any cost. Even the cost of a life.
Sick is right.
That’s just sick and really really sad. I cannot imagine how twisted that child’s mind must be
I’m so sickened by this I can’t bring myself to go and read it right now. Maybe later…maybe not. It’s just so awful.

You wonder sometimes what folks use for brains these days… or just where their moral compass points?

Oh, ick. I didn’t need to read that and don’t think I’m going to click on that link. I am just curious what in the heck would she want to do with the blood? Oh so sad.

This breaks my heart for those who’ve miscarried before. And I wonder what her mother feels right now.
That makes me want to wretch. What, really, is our nation coming to, that we can express such “freedoms” at the expense of human life?
I am thankful for owlhaven’s comment above, because it encourages me to have sorrow for her soul and not simply anger for her act.

The depths of depravity capable by humans never ceases to sadden me.
(I am particularly horrified and sickened that she shares the same first name as our daughter. I know it’s totally unrelated to our little one, but still just the thought of it . . .)

In the end, her project got banned. And her advisors were talked to. The university wanted her to say her project was false, a big fat lie, and she wouldn’t do it. The whole thing was just weird with fuzzy details. Please don’t read this as my defending it, just read a lot about it. My husband is a grad student at Yale and he was so unhappy about it, he was saddened to be linked to Yale.

I read a subsequent article saying the entire “art project” was just a “fictitious” thing.
