I made Scribbit’s Pumpkin Molasses Cake with Lemon Frosting yesterday.
I am not a scratch baker. At all. But I followed the advice she gave in this post and it turned out great! Not dry, not crumbly, rich flavor. It’s the perfect fall cake.
I did three things a little different, however. I used regular half-and-half, regular molasses (I couldn’t find light molasses), and purple sprinkles.
Gotta have the sprinkles.
I really do have to try that one soon…the combo sounds so innnnteresting, and certainly nothing I would have thought to try on my own!!
Nice sprinkles, too.

You’ve made my day! I can sleep better tonight knowing that the world had a great cake served today 🙂
And purple sprinkles are a terrific addition.
