1. My kids would make rotten hippies. When I took a shower today, I stepped out and saw the steamed-up mirror. A dozen Mercedes symbols and the word Pease! had been written with a tiny, idealistic finger.
2. My husband recently won a PS3 and The Beatles Rock Band game. Because we can’t be Paul McCartney all the time, we bought another game. It’s LittleBigPlanet and it is the most innovative, charming, continually surprising video game I’ve ever seen. I have my own level. I couldn’t resist. If you have a PS3, it’s a must-have.
3. How do Amaretto Apple Streusel Cupcakes sound?
4. “A long, long time ago, in a galaxy a goodish hike from the home front…” is the opening line of Angie’s wonderful post where she ponders P.G. Wodehouse’s version of Star Wars. My favorite line is when Luke says, “Thank you, 3P0. I’ll just lounge here against the X-Wing, quietly and comfortably raging, until you return.”
5. I am thinking about sending a letter just like this to family coming for Thanksgiving. We musn’t use casserole dishes that aren’t regulation casserole size. Dreadful! On second thought, I love my family. So never mind.
6. Now I don’t have to get Tommy anything for Christmas. Whew.
3. How do Amaretto Apple Streusel Cupcakes sound?
When they fall on the floor: THUNK!!

Really? I think they may sound more like FWOOP! or perhaps SPWOFF!
Thanks for the link. Pease out.
Oh my! He doesn’t look very excited at all. So sad…that’s such a depressing look on his face. 🙂

LOL, what a great list. When I first read the title I wanted to protest “I don’t like lists.” But then after reading this one, I have to admit. Some lists are fun.

Reason Jason wants a PS3: Because it can play Blu-Ray DVDs
Reason I’m vetoing his reason: We rarely watch DVDs anymore, Blu-Ray or otherwise.
The game, though? That could win me over.
[Captcha code word I’m about to type in: “DUNT”. As in, “Dunt we all wish for world pease”]

Lists can save your life. A college professor told me that, and I believed him, and then he quoted…gosh darn it…starts with a B…modern poet…too lazy to get off my butt and check a book that is only a few steps from me. Sigh. Anyway, thank you for this list. I love Wodehouse and am off to check your links.

Carter is wishing for the same thing! And it’s funny how many people notice and mention it!
Steph
Had to click over to see the Thanksgiving letter. Good grief. I think I’d have to send my regrets to that gathering. I’d be so uptight that I’d unknowingly do something wrong that I wouldn’t be able to swallow. It would be just like being in Catholic grade school again.
Hahaha, you’re good with the lists – I just laughed 3 times in one minute. And fun links too, oh my!

I love lists! Wodehouse is great. You made my day.
I felt a little guilty asking my mom to bring the stuffing AND mashed potatoes. Guilt alleviated!
And now I have to things to add to my to do list: buy game and make cupcakes!
