My poor Colorado kids. Starved for oxygen, decent sports teams, and a nearby source of saltwater. We must settle for seeing non-native fish either dead and rapidly decaying on a bed of packed ice balls at the grocery store or at the local aquarium.

yes, the Downtown Denver Aquarium has tigers, but not enough to call it the Tigerarium
I’m loving all the dark mops of hair, and the picture of the two boys near the huge tank. What a lovely family!!

I was wondering about that Tiger.

They have lovely complexions. They look like young Irish children! Could you post a photo of them, dancing a jig?

Love the photos — looks like the kids had a blast.
Not sure that tiger appreciated having his picture taken, though. Good thing he doesn’t know you posted it to your blog, too.

I think that Colorado would be perfect if it just had a beach. If only….
We love the aquarium too, but haven’t been in a long time. It is time to schedule another visit!

I recognize that shark in the first photo! We have an aquarium from the same folks here in downtown Houston, so it didn’t faze me at all to see the tiger. LOL.
Great photos — I always have trouble getting good ones in the low light and with all the glass around.
Your kids are just beautiful!!
Your girl is so tall! She must enjoy that.
Love love love the pic of the two boys looking up in wonder. Actually, they’re all great pics. Gorgeous kids you’ve got.

LOL, tigerarium. I haven’t been there in quite awhile. Think it is about time. With Sarabeth working “next door” at Elitches, that sucks us in more often.

Great pictures. I love the aquarium here in Denver. I’ve never understood why they have tigers there though.
I miss the beach and can’t wait until I can take my daughter to one. I think she will be amazed.

Great photos! Is it a pity that the beach is so far away, but a great substitute is a good aquarium. Looks like you have one, and the smiles on your kids’ faces says it all.
What a beautiful place–oh how my kids would love that!

I never thought about not living near water — I’ve always been within a few hours of it at most, sometimes less than an hour. Even though I don’t get out there much, it is nice knowing it is there. I’m glad they have places like that in landlocked areas.
