Here is a funny and thought-provoking rant on how we take technology for granted. (h/t The Thinklings)
“Everything is amazing right now, and nobody is happy.”
It is especially timely today as I watch my husband fly home from a business trip to Naples, Florida. He is returning after ten days away—a record for us. The last time we were apart for ten days was ten days before our first date (thirteen years ago).
It boggles my mind that I can use Flightstats to see that AT THIS MOMENT, he is going 496 miles per hour at 38,000 ft. and he has 1,022 miles to go. According to the Google map, he is somewhere just past Cullman, Alabama.
Oh, that’s almost my neck of the woods. Cullman is about 300 miles north of me. Awesome. Hope he makes it home to you and the family quickly.
So cool.
And creepy about the bits of penis. Do you think the Ladies *know* or is it a “secret ingredient”.

Sorry – not penises – foreskins. Either way…

Ten days is a long time apart! Glad to hear that he is, by now, home safe and sound. Hope you all enjoy a happy reunion. I bet he’ll be glad to see all of his favorite faces after ten days away.
If your home is anything like ours, Daddy can leave for an hour and come back the conquering hero. I imagine the welcome back after 10 days will be a pretty enthusiastic one! 🙂

I always had a good time watching flight tracker. It’s been around for some time.

I love Flight Tracker. My husband travels OFTEN for business. (Although, these days, he’s rarely gone for more than three days at a time.) Watching his flight sail safely to its destination makes me feel connected, somehow, even though we can’t talk/email/text.
