My blog somehow turned two and I didn’t notice. My first post was on September 30, 2004. It was about a chunk of plastic that got wedged in my eyeball. I’ve been trying to see straight ever since.
I’ve got a toddler blog on my hands now. Like any new two-year-old, it clamors for my attention. Sometimes it has to sit patiently while mommy is boiling ‘sghetti or fishing daddy’s watch out of the toilet or is on the phone, for goodness sake!
I look forward to seeing how Lifenut changes in the next year. I have a plan which will probably bore every reader (with the exception of my mother) but it is something I am compelled to accomplish—a twenty-six part series, still nameless. It will appear on Saturdays.
ANYthing you write is interesting, Gretchen. I don’t know how you do it (I really wish I did), but boring us is the very last thing you need to worry about.

I think I first stumbled upon your blog when my baby was just newborn and would nurse while I sat here at this computer. One night I read your entire blog from start to finish in one sitting- mesmerized, laughing, & crying. I still can’t wait for more!
