I love this photo because it highlights one of Bea’s best unique traits.
Our kids look alike. We hear it often.
Beatrix is our only child with green eyes.
So when the world comments about the stair steps our kids’ heads make when they line up and how they look like an Insert-Last-Name-Here Kid, I know how privileged I am.
The outside observer never cupped one of our little faces long enough to memorize the flecks and marbling of an iris unseen from a distance. Then they’d know.
Ice, Sky, Sapphire, Cornflower, True, Evergreen, Ocean, Steel.
I love it. I have green eyes, too. We like finding others like us from time to time. When I was little I always chose green as my favorite color because of my eyes, too. It makes you feel special. 🙂

And what a beautiful and unique rainbow you have!!! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!
Such loveliness.
So true! I have green eyes and of my five children, only my first son has green eyes. All of the rest of my kiddos have blue — and not the same kind of blue either, as your last sentence shows. Love it!
mine don’t all look alike but they all share certain traits, but each one has different eyes, and I love that it reflects who they are…stormy grey blue, calm blue like a spring sky, deep brown thoughful, and TBD since they seem to change daily…
I only have 3, and they don’t look much alike. Each has a different colour hair and eyes. It made me want to have more, just to see what other colour combos we could have produced 🙂 She’s gorgeous.
Ours look so different from each other, people aren’t sure I’m telling the truth when I say they are all siblings.
But this post made me swoon. The last line especially made my mother’s heart whisper, “I want to be like that.”
Wow, that is SUCH a beautiful photo of her
She’s so beautiful.
I think this is probably my favorite Mopsy post, like, EVER.
