I want to send a big thanks to Chilihead at Don’t Try This At Home for giving me a Perfect Post Award for May. The post is 1632. So many of us have similar stories—memories of grandmothers and houses that are no more.

On a timely side-note, an article about the “scraping” of old homes appeared in The Rocky Mountain News on Tuesday. It is probably a bit yawn-inspiring for most, but I suspect it is something happening in many urban areas. My grandmother’s neighborhood is one of the areas mentioned in the article.
