Beck nailed it today at Twitter when we were discussing the age of 8. Joel’s birthday is today. I adore this age, when some of the more troublesome aspects of early childhood are a distant memory and the wavy years of angst and drama are at arm’s length. They still embody the lovely qualities of little ones while expressing themselves on a deeper level. Really:
8 is great.
