I found an interesting birth story exercise. Can you write your birth or adoption story in 3 words?
Aidan: Complicated painful delight.
Ryley: Natural, shaking, ecstatic.
Sam: Sleepy, sudden, lunchtime.
Tommy: Racing, sinking, racing.
Joel: Flashbacks, hushed, gratefulness.
Beatrix: Prolapse, cutting, alive.
Archie: Kicking down door.
Teddy: Backward, bound, freed.
This is brilliant I have to do it … totally totally love it!!!
What a fun idea. Mine would definitely have to say:
Kidney stone first.
Ooh! I love it! So clever.
I LOVE THIS!!!!
Mine would be: Not. As. Expected.
Sweet. Great idea Gretchen.
Thanks, Heth. It’s not my idea, though. I found it at the Babycenter blog, and I’m not even sure how I ended up there! It really made me boil down hours upon hours upon hours into almost nothing. You should do it. At your blog. Hint Hint Hint.
Wow, this is tough! I think I’d have to go with these:
Peter: Water, pain, joy.
Jacob: Induction then c-section.
