I love Richard Scarry—especially his pre-Busy World illustrations featuring doe-eyed everything.
So when I saw The Animal’s Merry Christmas at Amazon, I had to order it. Even if the kids didn’t like it, I imagined snuggling up with it on a cold winter day with a cup of hot cocoa and the best Christmas album ever made playing in the background.
It came yesterday and it is exceedingly charming. The collection includes 18 stories and poems, written by Kathryn Jackson, illustrated by Scarry. I should have never doubted my kids. They love it too!
I never recommend specific products or do reviews, but I made an exception in this case.
I love Richard Scarry, too! we’ll have to order this. Thanks!

We had this when I was a kid and Mom always got it out at Christmas time. It was something I always looked forward too.

Thanks to your link for Ray Coniff, I will soon be a proud owner. That “One Click” ordering that Amazon has is very dangerous :D.
